Being able to have such an incredible platform to speak to so many people from all over the world is something that I never thought I’d be able to have. But as they say, with great power comes great responsibility so today, I wanted to share something that I’ve recently been more and more interested in: sustainable fashion.

The textbook definition is: “the physical development and institutional operating practices that meet the needs of present users without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs, particularly with regard to use and waste of natural resources. Sustainable practices support ecological, human, and economic health and vitality. Sustainability presumes that resources are finite, and should be used conservatively and wisely with a view to long-term priorities and consequences of the ways in which resources are used.”

To break it down, sustainability is all about creating and manufacturing with as little of an environmental footprint as possible and as consumers, we should all feel responsible for our choices we make and should try and make the best choices when we can (for ourselves, our home and our environment).

Every day, companies are discovering new ways to become more and more environmentally conscious, and I’m so proud to know that a lot of those companies are based right here in Los Angeles!

Beyond having some incredible clothes, Fame and Partners run their business a bit differently than your average clothing company. Not only are their pieces customizable, but every item is made to order. That means no mass-production, no storage, and no excess. The pieces you order ship straight to you which means no air conditioned warehouse and they don’t carry stock so that means no leftover product will be put to waste. As their website says, they really are more than just a pretty dress! You can read more about Fame and Partners HERE!
