The 11 biggest trends at #NYFW and how to wear them now.

New York Fashion Week (#NYFW for short) has come and gone, giving us a taste of what the big looks will be for Spring/Summer 2017 and inspiring within us a shopping frenzy. MUST. WEAR. NOW!

nyfw-14-2_720

In all seriousness, the concept of See Now Buy Now was NYFW’s newsworthiest trend. A handful of brands went ahead and made their runway collections shoppable right away (and FYI, the normal wait from runway to IRL is about 6 months)–Tommy Hilfiger, Thakoon, and Opening Ceremony among them. If your favorite runway looks weren’t See Now Buy Now, Fame’s got you covered. We’re always ahead of the trend, darling. 😉

Our editors reviewed all the runways and picked up on a huge crop of up-and-coming must-haves that Fame and Partners already has on lock; now that’s See Now Buy Now.

THE BIGGEST LOOKS FOR SS17

One. Ruffles

Delpozo, Tome, Rodarte, Proenza Schouler

The ultimate feminine touch, the ruffle, is still going strong for SS17. Everyone from Proenza Schouler to Reem Acra has an interpretation of the look, but we’re into the almost Victorian vibe at Rodarte.

Two. Off the shoulder

Vera Wang, Sally LaPointe, Milly, Delpozo, 3.1 Phillip Lim

Yup, off the shoulder is decidedly in. And it’s just as sexy as ever. The new way to wear it? Layer a tank underneath your OTS top for a peek-a-boo effect, as seen at Vera Wang and Delpozo.

Three. Pinstripes

Navy and sky blue pinstripes feel uber-fresh for spring, right? We’re picking up what Elizabeth & James, J.Crew, and Rag & Bone are putting down.

As far as formalwear, the collective fashion consciousness is feeling sequins. Us, too.

As light as a feather, as cool as it gets. Just ask Sally LaPointe, Prabal Gurung, and Oscar de la Renta.

DVF is the queen of modern womenswear. She’s given our two-tone dresses her seal of approval, and we couldn’t be more excited.

Seven. Relaxed suiting

Slouchy suits reign supreme at NYFW. The look is comfortable but still elevated–exactly our vibe. Coming soon, Fame Fans…

Eight. Orange

If, oh, all the runways are any indication, then orange is the color for Spring 2017. Want the look now? You can customize almost any Fame dress to be bright orange! We think the Sheila, the Cadence, and the Leo would look awesome in the It color.

AS FAR AS ACCESSORIES

Nine. Loop hardware

Metal hardware is as edgy as it gets; circular shapes are anything but. This juxtaposition is one of the coolest statements in fashion right now. Check back on fameandpartners.com soon to see how we interpret the contrast!

Ten. Belts

If the runways could give you one style tip to last you all season, it’s this: throw a belt on it. (Yes, even on your hair.)

Eleven. Big earrings

Delpozo, Rodarte, Proenza Schouler

Earrings have the ability to transform an outfit. Wear them with the simplest dress you own to make a minimalist statement; pair them with a ruffled skirt for a maximalist take.

FAME
